Here is how it works:

It's a superconductor [a material which has no electric resistance (at a certain temperature)]. Notice that liquid nitrogen is poured into the reservoir. When certain metals and ceramics are cooled to temperatures close to absolute zero (-459 F or -273 C), they have no electrical resistance allowing electrons to flow through them freely - that's what's necessary to cause the levitation. The floating effect results from the other object being a regular strength magnet and at room temperature. The superconductor is nonmagnetic when the nitrogen is added, the meissner effect occurs and the superconductor is now perfectly magnetic. The smaller, regular magnet now floats as if it was suspended over a large regular magnet (like an electromagnet).

What the hell does that mean?

Basically, when they pored in the liquid the temperature dropped very low causing the electrical resistance to go to zero. All objects have electrons that repulse when there meet other electrons, so when there is no resistance there electrons are easily flowing from on medium to another, however in the middle (air) the electrons meet each other and cause repulsion, which in turn pushes the magnet up.

Nova_il magix гравитация здесь не причём, просто магниты.
так что летающий автомобиль на этом эффекте можно сделать, только если кто-нибудь будет снизу с магнитом бегать

и азотом все это дело охлаждать

у меня есть журнал Юный техник или Техника молодежи начала 80х или раньше. Там этот опыт показан и рассказан. Так что ничего удивительного и новизной тут не пахнет.

Видео не качал, ибо трафика нету Но судя по постам - сверхпроводящий магнит? Так это давно известное явление, в последнее время только новые материалы изобретают, у которых температура сверхпроводимости высокая (относительно, конечно )
