1)Я не вижу привычных буковок Ц, Д... как в никсах происходит обращение к файлу?
2)Есть 2 лог. диска: 1 с Эхт3 и 1 с ФАТ32 (так пишет линукс, я вроде форматил инсталлятором вин2003 в НТФС, но мог по невнимательности стучайно тыкнуть на фат. Так вот, почему диск с виндофой ФС после каждой загрузки надо монтировать (или как оно называется)? Т.е на него надо зайти, а для этого надо ввести пароль админа. И после этого он становится доступен всем (расшаренный он)
3)Проблема со звуком: есьт наушники, есть то, что в профиле (встроеннная звуковуха, ALC888). Так вот, после каждой загрузки звучат тестовые звуки (я нажал Test, чтобы проверить, работает ли звук, и настройка звука завичала. Нажал на ТЕСТ напротив другого звука - к этим звукам добавился и этот писк :()
Что делать?
4)Какие материалы о никсах стоит прочитать?

Поскольку такая тема есть еще и на убунтувском форуме (но дискуссия там очень вялая...), мне посоветовали заменить Driver "ati" на Driver "vesa". Не помогло. Свободного места на дисках дофига

создай нового пользователя из консоли и живи в иксах пока под ним:
(далее читать без $ и #)
$ sudo bash
# useradd -c "Пользователь" -g users -s /bin/bash -d /home/user user
# mkdir /home/user; chown user.users /home/user
# su user
$ passwd
далее вводишь пароль 2 раза свежепридуманый
3 раза нажимаешь Ctrl+D
и логинишься в окне приглашения как этот пользователь
это позволит разобраться что же случилось с предыдущим...


Как вариант избавления от ошибки можно полностью очистить
текущую домашнюю папку (сделав бэкап если нужно), а вообще ты что-то
под рутом накосячил имхо, и это можно проверить создав нового юзверя.

если есть подозрения на ошибку в xorg.conf - просто переименуй этот файл
и настрой иксы ЗАНОВО (вроде утилита настройки сама запускается при отсутствии xorg.conf)



А вообще я бы тебе советовал вдумчиво переставить систему,
правильно расставив точки монтирования, переразбив диск и т.д.

Сейчас уже стоит Убунту 8.04 серверный + все фичи сервера (нужно еще начать осваивать серверные ОСи... но первым делом освоить сам линукс...) + хубунту-десктоп. Пока всё работает. Я на нём линукс осваиваю, так что если упадет - не жалко. А что значит "правильно расставить ТМ"? Переразбив диск? Я выбрал автоматическую разбивку, но чтобы Use entire disc.
Какие можете дать советы новичку?

1) Количество разделов, их фаловые системы и точки монтирования стоит выбирать в зависимости от задач операционки (для десктопа отдельный /usr и большой /home, для роутера и прокси отдельный /var, /var/log, для многопользовательской машины отдельный /tmp и т.д.)
2) Для виндовых/маковых разделов тоже стоит указать точки монтирования уже в процессе установки линукса (естественно не меняя тип ФС), почти всегда это позволяет новичкам избежать геморроя с подбором параметров монтирования этих разделов в будущем.

серверные оси, от не-серверных отличаются, грубо говоря, лишь набором софта т.е. наличием доступных (удалённо) сервисов. Поэтому осваивать скорее всего надо стандарты и принцыпы работы самих сервисов - оси вторичны, и являются теперь уже пожалуй делом привычки =)
